Canada Skateboard: 2025 Competition Season Update

As skaters across the country are preparing and planning for the 2025 skateboarding season, Canada Skateboard would like to share some unfortunate news; the Canada Skateboard Open, will not be operating events in 2025.
For all the skaters, community groups and volunteers who have enjoyed attending the Open, we want to extend our gratitude to you all, and share that this decision was not taken lightly and we are actively working on plans and partners to bring the Open back for 2026. However, we also want to inform our community on upcoming competition opportunities available to Canadian skateboarders run by great event producers.
To support your planning purposes and to promote great opportunities that exist in Canada we are happy to share a list of events where skaters can earn ranking points or get together and celebrate skateboarding. Highlighting on this list are two marquee events, one in the east and one on the west. These two events are offering matching prize purses for men and women, and opportunities for street and transition style skaters, as well as activations for skaters of all levels.

The following is a list of events available within and outside of Canada. This is not an exhaustive list, and if you are an event organizer and do not see your event on this list, please contact info@canadaskateboard.ca to see how we can add you in and promote your activations.
We will work with the organizers of these events to be included on the Canada Skateboard Ranking List. The list will include events that are executing an event that provides a full final ranking of all skateboarders in attendance. Only the “OPEN CLASS” events will be included - age group / or skill based categories will not be included. For more information on the ranking list see the FAQ.
