Canada Skateboard is seeking proposals from qualified individuals or companies to facilitate the design, construction, and management of a temporary covered skateboard space in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia. The selected contractor will be responsible for creating a safe, functional, and engaging environment for skateboarders of all skill levels.
Scope of Work:
Design: Develop a comprehensive design plan for the temporary covered skateboard space, including layout, features, materials, and aesthetic elements.
Construction: Execute the construction phase, ensuring compliance with all relevant building codes and safety standards. This includes procurement of materials, site preparation, installation, and quality assurance.
Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the skateboard space, including scheduling, maintenance, security, and supervision of activities.
Programming: Develop and implement programming initiatives to enhance the user experience, such as workshops, and community events.
Safety and Security: Implement measures to ensure the safety and security of all participants.
Reporting: Provide regular progress reports to Canada Skateboard, including updates on construction milestones, budget utilization, and operational metrics.
Requirements:
Demonstrated experience in skateboard park design, construction, and management.
Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry best practices.
Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, including tradespeople, community groups, and skateboarders.
Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
Capacity to provide ongoing maintenance and support services.
Commitment to promoting inclusivity, accessibility, and sustainability.
Proven track record and education in skateboard coaching and mentorship.

Canada Skateboard reserves the right to reject any or all proposals received, to negotiate with any qualified source, or to cancel this RFP in part or in its entirety.
